Deported opposition leader Raila Odinga's former adviser Miguna Miguna has described police's treatment of him while in custody as beastly.
Miguna who spoke to the BBC while in Amsterdam said the treatment was inhumanly that he was only offered food twice for the five days he spent in detention.
Asked to describe his treatment in the police he said he was 'treated like a beast'.
"The treatment was beastly, I only received food twice, slept on cold floor and was made to stand for long hours. My feet are swollen and presently in pain," he said.
Miguna, who declared himself leader of the outlawed National Resistance Movement was among NASA leaders who organised Raila's inauguration on January 30.
He was deported back to Canada five days after being arrested, detained before being charged in court on Tuesday.
The fiery lawyer during the interview vowed to challenge his detention and deportation through his advocates and have the perpetrators brought to book.
Miguna accused Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i for forcefully sending him to Canada on grounds that his citizenship had been cancelled yet he is a Kenyan born citizen.
"I have never, ever renounced my Kenyan citizenship and will never do that. I have never even contemplated it," said Miguna.
