NASA coalition activist Miguna Miguna has found himself in trouble, after he attacked opposition leader who is also the ODM party leader Raila Odinga.
This is after a section of ODM leaders, led by Secretary-General Edwin Sifuna, cautioned and warned him against attacking Odinga.
On Saturday morning, Miguna issued a list of demands, directing one to Odinga, saying;
"Raila Odinga cannot and should not be enjoying Easter abroad and dining with the tyrants when the person who swore him in as the people’s president is being murdered by those who stole his election and who have killed and maimed his supporters."
Miguna issued the statement from Dubai, where he was deported to, on Wednesday night.
However, in a quick rejoinder, Sifuna said Odinga and ODM had done a lot to safeguard the self-proclaimed NRM general, including releasing lawyers to Miguna, for pro-bono services.
"We have suffered brutality both from police and State sympathisers. Our passports have been revoked.
'Mzee' (Odinga) has personally been coming to court. He was at the airport risking his own safety. I therefore don’t see how anyone can say that Mzee has abandoned Miguna," said Sifuna.
Other leaders who condemned Miguna include ODM Director of Political Affairs, Ugunja MP - Opiyo Wandayi, MPs Samuel Atandi (Alego/Usonga), and Gideon Ochanda (Bondo).
Sifuna said Dr Miguna’s lawyers were providing pro-bono services courtesy of Mr Odinga in a bid to save him, and questioned why the lawyer was bitter.
"As much as we sympathize with Miguna, he must know the boundary. Raila Odinga as an institution, is a no-go zone for him to spew vitriol. He and Raila don't play in the same league," warned Wandayi.
