Photo/softkenya.com.Political commentator and lawyer Miguna Miguna has defended Chief justice David Maraga over the Supreme Court ruling annulling President Uhuru Kenyatta's re-election in the August polls.
According to Miguna, IEBC failed to show how they conducted the whole election process from the casting of votes, counting of votes and the tallying of votes at the national center. In his view, Miguna believes the many irregularities in the whole process warranted the annulment of the presidential election results.
"Maraga made no mistakes in giving the judgment made over the presidential elections in the country. In fact, he does not have to apologize to anyone because the whole election process was marred by irregularities as proved by NASA counsel in the their petition. He has proved that he is a man of integrity," said Miguna.
Miguna further accused IEBC chair Wafula Chebukati of coming up with fake documents to announce President Uhuru Kenyatta the winner of the August elections.
The lawyer believes that form 34As and 34Bs were missing on the day of the announcement yet they were a necessity in coming up with form 34C required to declare one a winner.
Miguna made the remarks on Monday during an interview on Radio Maisha where he cited other issues like lack of security features in the forms and photocopied form 34As and 34Bs as other irregularities that guided the judgement by the Supreme Court.
