Former Nairobi governor aspirant Miguna Miguna has launched a vicious attack on ex-Kakamega county senator Boniface Khalwale for his dissenting tone on Raila Odinga swearing in plan.
Khalwale, who also serves as Ford Kenya deputy party leader is reportedly leaning on the dialogue option at the expense of the January 30 swearing in plan.
But this stand has angered Miguna Miguna, who wonders why Dr Khalwale has changed tune just months after he was seen on the forefront-championing for the coronation of Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka as People’s President and deputy President respectively.
“Just the other day, @KBonimtetezi ran to my house at 7am panting that the @PoliceKE had been chasing him the whole night. He was with us when @UKenyatta's Mungiki donning @PoliceKE uniform killed 18 innocent civilians. He has been yelling "swearing-in!" Has UGALI turned him dumb?” he posed via his Twitter page.
Miguna, a self-proclaimed National resistance Movement (NRM) general alluded that “ugali” had turned the bull-fighter dumb.
Khalwale told Nation that he preferred dialogue over the swearing in ceremony.
“My position is that dialogue is better than the swearing-in option,” Khalwale said. “The Jubilee administration has not said ‘no’ to dialogue, but rather there are those among us (in NASA) who are saying they do not want dialogue.”
Meanwhile, the Opposition has given President Uhuru Kenyatta a seven days ultimatum to re-consider his stand on holding dialogue on electoral justice failure to which the swearing-in plan will proceed as is.
