[Photo/standard.co.ke]Former Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant Miguna Miguna has hit out at the Supreme Court judges following the Monday's ruling that saw President Uhuru Kenyatta's victory in the October 26 fresh presidential poll upheld. The six-judge bench led by Chief Justice David Maraga dismissed two petitions filed by former Kilome MP Harun Mwau, Activist Njonjo Mue and a voter Khelef Khalifa challenging Uhuru's win. While dismissing the petitions, Maraga said they lacked merit. Following the ruling, Miguna has now likened Kenya to a banana republic saying the court upheld an election where only 3.5 out of 19.6 million voters participated. The National Resistance Movement (NRM) general further pointed out that the Supreme court had termed 'constitutional' an election where IEBC refused to open its servers for audit and that the court relied on altered forms."A BANANA REPUBLIC is where the#SupremeCourtKE holds that conducting a coronation exercise among 3.5 out of 19.6 million voters in 27 out of 47 counties and refusing to open up @IEBCKenya servers for an audit & relying on altered forms and not the KIEMS kits is "constitutional." Miguna tweeted, Wednesday.
