The National Resistance Movement (NRM) general Miguna Miguna was on Sunday blocked from traveling on the road to the hotel where the former prime minister Raila Odinga was.
A statement from the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party said Miguna was stopped by more than 30 police officers led by the Mtwapa OCPD along the Mombasa-Malindi highway.
"More than 30 police officers led by the Mtwapa OCPD have stopped Dr Miguna Miguna from traveling on the road to the hotel where PM Raila Odinga is," ODM communication team tweeted, Sunday.
"Dr Miguna Miguna being blocked on the Mombasa- Malindi highway," ODM added.
The Opposition leader was in the Coast region for the People's Assembly Coast Regional Consultative Forum.
The former Nairobi gubernatorial candidate has been a strong critic of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Jubilee government since the August 8 general election.
He has insisted that NRM will swear-in Raila as the 'People's President.'
