NASA's National Resistance Movement (NRM) General Miguna Miguna has asked the Interior and Coordination Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang'i to arrest him.
Citing the arrest of Ruaraka MP T.J Kajwang on Wednesday, Miguna said Kajwang did nothing during the swearing-in of the NASA coalition leader Raila Odinga, that should warrant arrest.
"I am the one who administered the oath. They should come and arrest me. Kajwang did nothing that should warrant his arrest. I am the one who signed the oath. Let them come for me," said the former Nairobi gubernatorial candidate.
Addressing the press on Thursday at the Okoa Kenya Offices, Miguna slammed the Jubilee government, saying Kenyans were tired of a dictatorship government, and that NASA was the only way out.
On Wednesday, Matiang'i said the government was investigating the controversial swearing-in ceremony and that anybody linked to it would face the law.
"Furthermore, the government has commenced full investigations around the purported 'swearing-in' of Raila Odinga. The investigations will extend to co-conspirators and facilitators," he said.
Addressing the press at Harambee House, Matiang'i indicated whatever happened on Tuesday was "a well choreographed attempt to overturn or overthrow the legally constituted government of the Republic of Kenya."
He addressed the press moments after Ruaraka MP T.J Kajwang was arrested. The MP was released on Thursday on a Sh50,000 bond.
