Opposition block, National Super Alliance (NASA) strategist Miguna Miguna has laughed off claims that Uhuru Park, the venue for the alliance leader Raila Odinga's swearing-in ceremony dated for January 30 has been booked.

In a statement on Facebook Monday, Miguna instead invited the two entities that are reported to have booked the venue, the Nairobi Business Community and an unnamed religious group to the controversial oath-taking event.

The self-proclaimed National Resistance Movement (NRM) Operations General maintained that the hitch has no basis and shall be quashed soon, saying that the function, highly anticipated by NASA supporters, must happen on the named date.

''It is my privilege as the NRM General in charge of Operations to welcome the Nairobi Business Community, the unnamed church and all Kenyans to the swearing-in ceremony of Raila Odinga on January 30 at Uhuru Park,'' wrote the outspoken lawyer. The two entities, if the reports are anything to go by, could deal a big blow to the coalition whose chiefs have since embarked on a campaign to publicize the ceremony.

Several Governors allied to the alliance have also announced plans to provide transport for their constituents planning to attend the mega event.

The county bosses include Mombasa chief Hassan Joho and his Siaya counterpart who has promised to mobilize a million youths to the function.
