Outspoken lawyer Miguna Miguna has vowed to put Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko behind bars if he becomes governor.
Miguna who has launched campaigns for the seat currently occupied by Evans Kidero accused Sonko of engaging in land fraud and illegal businesses.
He said people like Sonko belong to jail, and are not fit to hold public office.
“I'm not going to play around with thieves, Sonko cannot account for his money. The fact that he walks with piles of money is enough to put him in jail for money laundering,” Miguna said on KTN, Wednesday.
“Sonko does not know how to execute his functions in the Senate. Instead of bringing Kidero to account, he goes there to fight with his fists. Miguna will deliver and fight with ideological clarity and vision,” he added.
Miguna said it's unfortunate that Kenyans elect leaders who are not interested in public service and lack vision.
The former Advisor to Raila Odinga also hit out at Governor Kidero, accusing him of tolerating corruption in Nairobi County and failing to discharge his mandate.
“Kidero cannot save this city because he is a thief. His orientation is theft, look at Mumias (Sugar Company), he looted it to death, he is doing the same to the city,” he claimed.
