Miguna Miguna. He is a threat to the country's security. [Photo/eacee.com]

The arrest, detention and incarceration of the self-styled National Resistance Movement (NRM) General Miguna Miguna cannot have come at a better time when the nation is experiencing a serious internal aggression from the opposition, laying grounds for a civil strife and anarchy.

The threat to 'National Security', a state or condition where our most cherished values and beliefs, our democratic way of life, our institutions of governance and our unity, welfare and well-being as a nation and people are permanently protected and continuously enhanced, has never come under a serious threat than it is now in recent times.

While the opposition (NASA) is duping Kenyans that NRM is a movement seeking to bring change via a 'democratic' process, its activities and recent utterances from their defacto general are nothing less of demonic.

The moment a 'movement' such as NRM threatens the social-political stability of the country due to its political activities, then it ceases to be just another movement in the eyes of a democratically elected government and instead its labelled as a dangerous aggressor.

By taunting and insulting a democratically elected president, Miguna Miguna -and by extension NASA- has openly illustrated they are determined to cause anarchy by breaching the rule of law and defying the constitutional order.

In the wake of such an aggression, the government has no option other than assuring its citizen harmony and peace regardless of creed, ethnic origin or social strata; the arrest and confinement of NRM leaders fall well within the options of an aggrieved state.

Between 2013 and 2014 after Uhuru's ascension to power, Kenya witnessed unprecedented spates of dangerous terror attacks; from the mass shooting at the West Gate Mall in the suburbs of Nairobi that left close to 70 people dead and hundreds seriously injured, to the Garrisa University terror attack that left 147 students dead in its wake.

This was the worst aggression towards our territorial integrity as a country and for the first time in many years, the state organs in charge of National Security were called to action. The country was facing a threat of monumental magnitude that required staunch measures to ensure the permanent inviolability of our national territory and protecting the citizenry from terrorist incursions.

To achieve this goal, under the advice of National Security Advisory Council, the then-controversial 'Security Bill' was tabled and passed in parliament. This has not only greatly reduced the number of terror attacks but has well enhanced our regional and international image.

Needless to say though, the opposition and NASA leader Raila Odinga, under whose behest NRM General Miguna Miguna is acting on behalf and the media were vehemently against the passing of the Bill that has greatly secured the country citing that the bill was inconsistent with the supreme law.

Besides, Miguna Miguna is the face of NASA boycott campaign, though largely unfruitful any campaign tailored towards sabotaging investors or an economy can largely be seen as an internal threat to national stability.

It is the onus of the government to vigorously pursue a free-market economy through responsible entrepreneurship based on social conscience, respect for the dignity of labour and concern for the public interest.

Instead of perpetuating an economic regime where the people take command of their own lives, their livelihood and their economic destiny, Miguna and his ilk are calling for crippling of businesses that have refused to play ball with his party leader.

What is good for the goose is good for the gander; any serious government should deal ruthlessly with economic saboteurs hiding behind the liberation undertones of Canaan.

The session debate by the foul-mouthed NASA Advisor on Economic Affairs David Ndii cannot be ignored either.

NRM is in an open rebellion against a legitimately elected government and has the avowed objective of establishing an independent People's Republic of Kenya headed by Raila Odinga.

Miguna Miguna as the general of the NRM wing breeds and abets rebellion, crime and dissidence; security organs must be rife with such realities. If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.

NRM is a militia in the making and the faster the government crashes it the better. Had former President Mwai Kibaki been decisive in 2007, the events of 2008 post-election violence that pushed our country to the end could have been averted.

Uhuru must act and show little remorse to those fueling a 'civil disobedience', including the mentally unstable Raila Odinga and the father of all cartels Jimmy Wanjigi.

When you find an opportunity to 'finish' your enemy, you do it entirely in a manner he/she shall never rise again, but if you fail, you set yourself up for a ruthless revenge.

Jubilee has the opportunity to 'kill and bury' the session and peoples assemblies nonsense once and for all; even if it means using the Kings sword on political bullies like Miguna Miguna, David Ndii, Makau Mutua and the juvenile Babu Owino to assert authority.
