The airing of a TV programme on KTN regarding the murder of Jacob Juma has been termed as distasteful by a section of Kenyans.

The bone of contention is the unmasking of one Cheryl Kitonga who is said to have spent the last moments with Juma before he died.

Produced by Mohammed Ali and Dennis Onsarigo both of KTN, the programme has for the last three days been criticised on social media for being a 'shoddy investigative piece'.

The piece aired on Monday and it aimed at exposing potential Juma's assassins. However, just as the controversial Juma was, the piece has brought controversy and from equally controversial people.

"My brother @Mohajichopevu, I've tremendous respect for you but as a journalist, please try to exercise objectivity," tweeted the controversial Miguna Miguna of the 'come baby come' fame.

This is after the piece aired.

Two days later, renowned radio personality Caroline Mutoko came to defend Juma's assumed 'girlfriend', Cheryl.

According to Mutoko, the two journalists delved on sideshows.

"I have a lot of time for Mohammed Ali and his work but what he did to that young girl in his latest expose is unacceptable. Jacob Juma's death took a back seat to a side a show on a 20-something-year old girl. She didn't deserve to be served up on a cutting board. I am deeply disappointed with Moha. Deeply," Mutoko wrote on her Facebook page on Wednesday.

Mutoko, who on Wednesday was the hunter, became the hunted on Thursday after Kenyans on social media lashed out at her for defending Juma's alleged mistress.

And as in life, the life of the pompous Juma is morphing into a fireball pitting some against the other and only time will tell who escapes and who is sucked in.
