The self-proclaimed National Resistance Movement (NRM) general Miguna Miguna has said that NRM is not going to accept NASA leader Raila Odinga to get away with betraying millions of Kenyans.
Raila and President Uhuru Kenyatta met on Friday and resolved to work together for the sake of the country's unity, a move that has not gone well with NRM and a section of Odinga's supporters.
In a Facebook post on Saturday, Miguna noted that NRM will not support the power-deal between Uhuru and Raila.
He termed the deal as selfish and hypocritical.
"The # NRMKe is not going to allow @RailaOdinga to get away with betraying millions of Kenyans who have fought hard, got maimed or died over the years," wrote Miguna.
"We are not supporting a cynical, selfish, cowardly & hypocritical power-deal that will turn @UKenyatta into a PUTIN," he added.
The general also noted that NRM will defeat Uhuru on the streets of Nairobi starting March 26, 2018.
"We shall defeat Uhuru Kenyatta on the streets of Nairobi starting March 26th, 2018. Victory will not come from Harambee House boardrooms," he posted.
On Friday, the two leaders struck a deal ending months of differences that led to sharp divisions in the country.
