Kenneth, who is seen as the endorsed candidate by Jubilee to contest against Governor Evans Kidero is seen to have a clean record according to many, and if indeed there are scandals he is involved in, it will be the first time that it will be reported in the media on a large scale.

Welcoming Kenneth to vie in Nairobi, Miguna Miguna in a series of tweets promised to lay bare Kenneth’s record and to show the world he is not who he is portrayed to be.

“To my brother @Peter_Kenneth, welcome to the 2017 Nairobi gubernatorial race. I'm going to open your corruption files soonest,” said Miguna Miguna on Sunday.

The lawyer who is riding on a premise of commitment to integrity, constitutionalism and rule of law is also promoting his website which he says is transformative. He has also invited the public to know his vision, manifesto, policies and programmes and also donate towards his campaign.

He said; “Hansard, October 23, 2002, p. 2639: Opposition MPs exposed @Peter_Kenneth's FRAUDULENT attempt to "sell" Kenya-Re to the "Zimbabweans." It took the bravery of 3 MPs who obtained a Court Order & stopped the BRAZEN THEFT of Kenya-Re by @Peter_Kenneth & his KANU-era cartels.”

He disparaged Kidero’s election saying, “Nairobians made a terrible mistake when they elected @KideroEvans who had bankrupted Mumias Sugar Co. They cannot elect another PLUNDERER.”

Miguna Miguna promised not to spare anyone in the war against corruption “and misfeasance in public office. If one is clean, s/he has nothing to worry about.”

He also asked “Patriots and anti-corruption crusaders’ to send all corruption dossiers, files and documents on @Peter_Kenneth to him.

On Sunday, Kenneth announced his candidacy for the Nairobi governor seat at a church in Kasarani. He, however, faces stiff opposition from a section of Jubilee politicians interested in the seat terming him an outsider being imposed on Nairobians.
