Former Nairobi gubernatorial candidate Miguna Miguna has thanked all Kenyans who turned up for the swearing-in of the National Super Alliance (NASA) principal Raila Odinga as 'people's president.'
The controversial oath taking was conducted on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Uhuru Park grounds in Nairobi.
Addressing the press on Thursday, Miguna said all those who turned up proved that power belongs to the people.
"We would like to thank all Kenyans, the multitude and millions of Kenyans that turned up on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 to witness the historic of swearing-in of president of Kenya. We thank and honour your solidarity, courage bravery patriotism," said Miguna.
"You demonstrated to the despots that power truly belongs to the people. Power does not vest in a few individuals with weapons who are ready to murder, maim and destroy the lives of innocent citizens," he added.
