Lawyer Miguna Miguna now says Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko never consulted him before his surprise decision to nominate him as deputy governor.

Already, Sonko's latest move has caused panic in Jubilee government with a section of city MCAs to disown him.

But hours after the nomination, the fierce lawyer has termed news on his nomination as malicious propaganda.

"Mike Sonko and I have never met,communicated or spoken since our gubernatorial debate in 2017.

" I will not comment on malicious information, material or cheap propaganda circulating on social media," wrote Miguna.

News about Miguna's surprise nomination were first broke by his own lawyer Cliff Ombeta.

It is not clear how Sonko settled on Miguna despite controversy about his nationality.
