Miguna Miguna's lawyer Cliff Ombeta has said that Kenya is nothing but a banana republic.
This he said was because of what happened at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport yesterday night when the self-proclaimed National Resistant Movement was held.
Speaking to Citizen Television on Tuesday morning, Mr Ombeta said that they were trying to follow up so as they find where Mr Miguna's passport was.
"Right now we are trying to follow up where they have taken his documents. What happened is against the rule of law," he said.
Mr Ombeta also argued that the holding of Mr Miguna at the airport was against the law because he did not follow court orders.
According to him, the court had ordered that Mr Miguna is allowed into the country and an argument that he was not Kenyan dismissed.
Mr Miguna arrived in Kenya yesterday at 2:30 PM from Canada where he was deported to in February.
