Miguna who has announced plans to run for Nairobi's gubernatorial seat in 2017, has through a series of tweets accused the two leaders of run-away looting of Kenya's capital and corrosive impunity.

"Nairobi has the misfortune of having a semi-illiterate ex-con drug lord as a senator and a thief as a governor," tweeted Miguna.

He added: "It is self-evident that Mike Sonko is a criminal, hence Evans Kidero loots our money with impunity. We must liberate Nairobi from these thugs."

The controversial lawyer-cum-politician notes that for Nairobi to 'get anything of value', it must be liberated from the 'cartels of Sonko and Kidero.

"The only reason we have poor roads and housing, high unemployment and garbage everywhere is because of run-away looting," he said.

Miguna had on Monday rejected Sonko's offer for a job in his government should he win the Nairobi's top job next year.

"My brother Mike Sonko I cannot serve under or with a member of the cartel, thief or drug lord. Didn't you demand the forceful circumcision of Luos, break Shebesh's arm and box buildings?" he told Sonko.
