Lawyer Miguna Miguna has weighed in on the killing of a young man in Kawangware's Kwa Waweru village in Nairobi county.
The young man, Robert Okinjo, was gunned down last week by police on suspicion of robbery.
In a post on his Facebook page on Thursday evening, however, Miguna alleged that the government is targeting Luo lives by calculating 'genocide' against them.
In his view, the 'genocide' will have consequences and that the President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto will one day pay for the 'cold-blooded murders'.
"The despotic duo @UKenyatta and @WilliamsRuto, Luos are human beings and Kenyans like you; your calculated GENOCIDE against them has CONSEQUENCES. You will pay heavily one day for these COLD-BLOODED MURDERS," posted Miguna.
The former Nairobi gubernatorial candidate made the remarks in response to an article on Thursday's Daily Nation where it was reported that Okinjo died due to gunshot wounds.
The family maintains that Okinjo is innocent while the police on the other indicate that he (Okinjo) and three of his friends were gunned down after engaging police in an exchange of fire as captured in the article.
The 18-year-old Okinjo was a Form Four student at Winners Secondary in Kawangware.
