On January 30, Interior CS Fred Matiang'i issued a gazette notice which proscribed the opposition's National Resistance Movement as an organised criminal group.
This means NRM has been put in the same file and rank of other criminal outfits such as the Mungiki sect.
But radical politician Miguna Miguna has rubbished the move.
In a hilarious response to Matiang'i, Miguna claimed the gazette notice was referring to Uganda's NRM party which is led by President Yoweri Museveni.
"On behalf of the #NRM-K, I wish to CONGRATULATE The People's President H.E. Raila Odinga on his successful INAUGURATION today at Uhuru Park, Nairobi. All our members are ORDERED to remain focused, disciplined and courageous. Victory is certain. We understand that the despotic JUbilee surrogate Fred Matiang'i has purportedly "proscribed" Yoweri Kaguta Museveni's NRM. That's not our problem. The #NRM-K is a movement, which doesn't require registration and therefore cannot be degazetted. Viva! @UhuruMustGo," Miguna posted on his official facebook page.
