Speaking during an interview with the Newsmakers on Tuesday, Miguna revealed that he will be back in the country by mid-March.

The self-declared National Resistance Movement (NRM) general said he will return to Kenya after embarking on his global tour which is set to begin at the end of the week.

“I will be going back next month, I’m going to start my global tour at the end of this week which will take me to cities in Canada, the US, the UK, the mainland Europe, part of the Arab world, part of Africa then back to Kenya,” said Miguna.

“I should be back in Kenya by mid next month,” he added.

Miguna was deported to Canada by the government for participating in the swearing-in of NASA leader Raila Odinga as the people’s president.

However, his deportation was revoked by High Court Judge Luka Kimaru on Thursday, last week.

In his ruling, Justice Kimaru termed the deportation as illegal, null and void, and ordered for his Kenyan passport to be surrendered to the court.

On its part, the government, which on Tuesday appealed the ruling, has maintained that the deportation of Miguna was done in accordance with the law.
