Lawyer Miguna Miguna has revealed that the government is planning to detain opposition leaders.
According to Miguna, the government is planning to detain him, Senator James Orengo, MPs Babu Owino, Simba Arati and former legislator Irshad Sumra.
In a Facebook post on Monday, Miguna alleged the move to detain them is a move to sabotage swearing in of two opposition chiefs.
"The despotic @PoliceKE are desperate to sabotage the SWEARING-IN of The People's President @RailaOdinga, so they are planning to ILLEGALLY DETAIN @orengo_james, @SimbaArati, @IrshadSumra, @Babu_Owino and @MigunaMiguna tonight. They won't succeed. The swearing-in will take place!" posted Miguna.
National Super Alliance (NASA) is holding an 'oath' taking event tomorrow (Tuesday) for Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka at Uhuru Park grounds.
The coalition has been advocating for dialogue to solve the alleged electoral fraud in the country as Raila claims he was rigged out in the August 8 2017 elections.
However, NASA faces a venue headache after the Nairobi county government and the police marked off Uhuru Park as a no go zone for NASA and its supporters.
NASA has nonetheless maintained that they will hold the event at the same venue starting Tuesday at 8 am.
