Lawyer Miguna Miguna has turned down his nomination as the Nairobi Deputy Governor by Mike Sonko.
On Wednesday evening, Sonko forwarded the name of Miguna to the county assembly stating that the Candanian lawyer met the threshold for the position.
Through his Twitter account on Thursday, Miguna stated he has not Sonko in the recent times.
Miguna who is currently in Canada stated that he communicated Sonko during the debate for the Nairobi gubernatorial race.
"Mr. @MikeSonko and I have not spoken, met or communicated since our gubernatorial debate in July 2017. I will not comment on malicious information, material or cheap propaganda circulating in the social media. Thank you," Tweeted Miguna.
The nomination has since been rejected by the Jubilee party.
Miguna was scheduled to arrive in the country on Wednesday but failed due to lack of travel documents.
