Former Nairobi governor aspirant Miguna Miguna has spoken again of the reason behind his forceful deportation to Canada.
Taking to his Twitter handle on Thursday, Miguna Miguna said he was abducted by government agents from his house, detained, tortured exiled him to Canada on allegations of treason.
Miguna confirmed that the deportation wasn't over his passport as it was reported.
He said the main reason why the government led by president Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto 'decided to violate his rights' is because they fear him and his revolution movement (NRM).
"Let me say it again: I was abducted from my house in Kenya. The goons detained, tortured and exiled me on allegations of TREASON. It wasn't over a passport. But they have refused to take me to court. The real reason for violating my rights is their fear of the NRMKe and I," read Miguna Miguna's tweet on Thursday.
On his first deportation, the lawyer was detained for a couple of days before he was taken to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) where he was then flown to Canada.
On the second deportation, it was reported that he failed to produce his Kenyan passport for stumping as required by the airport regulations.
Due to this, he was forcefully flown to Dubai and then to Canada.
