Controversial lawyer and politician Miguna Miguna has blasted President Uhuru Kenyatta ahead of his swearing-in ceremony on Tuesday, next week.
Uhuru is set to take oath of office for his second term, following the Supreme Court's decision to uphold his reelection victory on October 26.
But in a tweet posted by Miguna on Tuesday, the former Nairobi gubernatorial candidate hit out at Uhuru, insisting that he lacked the legitimacy to be Head of State.
Miguna contended that the will not be anything special about Uhuru's swearing in ceremony.
He instead made a comparison of the occasion to past swearing in ceremonies of autocratic African leaders, including the now deposed Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe.
“Being sworn in is not a big deal. It doesn't vest LEGITIMACY on despotic imposters like Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto. Robert Mugabe, Idi Amin Dada, Mobutu Sese Seko, Jean-Bedel Bokassa and Adolf Hitler had all been sworn-in. #NRM is not backing down! #Resist #RailaReturns,” he posted.
