Self-proclaimed National Resistance Movement (NRM) general Miguna Miguna is reported to have suffered an asthma attack at the Lari Police Station where he is being held.

Reports indicate that the vocal lawyer could have suffered the attack after he was allegedly confined in a cold custody room.

Lawyer Edwin Sifuna on Sunday confirmed that he had received information about the suffering of Miguna but was denied access to his client.

Sifuna had carried with him an inhaler but the OCS at Lari couldn’t listen to his pleas.

“It’s true. We received information that Miguna has suffered an Asthma attack.

"I have with me an inhaler but the OCS has become hostile. He won’t let me see my client to give him the medication,” said Sifuna on his Twitter account.

Miguna was arrested for witnessing the controversial oath taking of Raila Odinga as ‘People’s President’ on 30th January.
