Miguna said there are several channels which Cord can use to remove IEBC officials from office other than demonstrations.

Speaking during a talk show at a local radio station, he said though it is their democratic right, demonstrations would only put the country at an image likely to show that Kenyans are violent.

Miguna said Cord should have used the chicken gate sandal and use it as a means of kicking IEBC out of office.

“They should have taken the chicken gate judicial report from London to court for the electoral commissioners to be removed out of office. It is according to chapter six of the Constitution under integrity positions,” said Miguna.

He added that there are other officials who have been charged by the English court in London therefore Kenya should have done the same.

Miguna also advised the Cord principals to use Parliament as a means of ousting the electoral body.

“They should have filed a petition in Parliament and make a Bill and have the IEBC removed,” he added.

Miguna said that demonstrations were to be the last resort Cord should have used.

Cord has vowed to continue with protests every Monday of the week till the Isaac Hassan led team gets out of office.

The counties that have so far adhered this move includes Kisumu and Nairobi in which chaos were witnessed during this week protest.

In Kisumu for example, dozens were injured including some members of the county assembly as they tried to match to the regional IEBC offices at Milimani.
