Controversial lawyer Migun Miguna is set to undergo medical tests in Canada after he alleged that he was sedated by the government before his deportation to Dubai a few days ago.
In a tweet on Monday, lawyer Nelson Havi revealed that Miguna will undergo toxicology tests for the chemicals used to sedate and 'poison' him and will fly back to the country thereafter.
Miguna traveled to Canada after receiving assistance from the Canadian Consulate in the UAE.
"Miguna Miguna has, out of his own violation and with the assistance of the Canadian Consulate in UAE, travelled to and arrived in Toronto, Canada. He will undergo toxicology tests and treatment for the chemicals used to sedate and poison him. He will return thereafter," tweeted Havi.
On March 28, Miguna alleged that he had been drugged, assaulted and further alleged that he was receiving threats from a Mr Njihia.
"I was dragged, assaulted, drugged and forcefully flown to Dubai. I woke up in Dubai and the despots are here insisting that I must travel on to London. I’m sick. I need medical treatment. A Mr. Njihia is threatening me. I need urgent help here," reiterated Miguna on his Facebook page.
Miguna was deported to Dubai after failing to produce his Canadian passport as well as filling forms to allow his re-entry into the country.
The Immigration Department had earlier dispatched forms to Miguna to help him regain his citizenship on grounds that he lost it when he acquired Canadian citizenship at a time the Kenyan laws did not allow for dual citizenship.
