Opposition activist Miguna Miguna has launched an attack on celebrated Citizen Television anchor and political moderator Jeff Koinange.
In a tweet Friday, the embattled National Resistance Movement (NRM) chief took issue with Koinange's professional conduct, accusing him of siding with the government on the ongoing citizenship row pitting him (Miguna) and the immigration department.
He bashed Koinange for an alleged recent remark, indicating that he (Miguna) ceased being a Kenyan national in the 80's, terming him unprofessional.
"Professionals are self-governing and must operate independently of the state in order to protect the public interest. However, those like Jeff Koinange have ceased being independent and shamelessly panders to and glorifies tyranny," he said.
He blamed Koinange and his likes of spearheading the worsening democratic conditions in the country, accusing him of upholding impunity and daring him to go a step further and prove the claim.
"You are the kind of people that have contributed to worsening our democracy by helping perpetuate the culture of impunity. I now need you to publish credible evidence that I lost my citizenship in the 80's," he added.
The former Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant has maintained that he remains a Kenyan national, despite holding a Canadian nationality as well and has remained defiant of government's calls to reapply for the same before being readmitted into the country.
