[Photo: kenya-today.com]It is unfortunate President Uhuru Kenyatta has reduced himself to be a political hawker, Political Analyst and Jubilee party critic Miguna Miguna has said.Miguna says that Uhuru who was a beneficiary of a rigged electoral process on August 8, is desperate to ensure that the election laws amendments pass by all means.Speaking to NTV on Tuesday morning during a panel discussion, Miguna asserted that illegalities are planned, deliberate and are executed adding that they have nothing to do with the existing law."A law does not commit a crime. A law does not rig an election. Amending laws won't address the illegalities and irregularities that the Supreme Court found in August 8 polls. I am disappointed that Nasa has not dealt with Wafula Chebukati and they need to start with him. Chebukati, Ezra Chiloba, all of them must go home now," said Miguna.Kiambu Senator Kimani Wamatangi, nevertheless, disagreed with Miguna on the amendments of the electoral laws saying they are objective and without prejudice."If you look seriously without bias at the amendments, what is so earth-moving about them? We are simply saying, in this law, to be able to avert some of these so-called illegalities and irregularities, then we must have to amend the law," said Wamatangi. He noted that the country was in a 'legal quagmire' that needed immediate addressing by the Parliament.
