"We, the NRM, Kenyan patriots and freedom fighters, believe in and are fully committed to the rule of law. We shall use the constitution as the spear and the shield in the fight against the despots," read Miguna's tweet.

He also thanked the legal team that represented him in court adding that the struggle for reform was on course.

"Thanks and congratulations, counsel. I'm grateful for the work of Dr John Khaminwa, James Orengo, Nelson Havi, Mboya Apollo, Waikwa Wanyoike, Mr Aluoka, Mr Ndubi, Edwin Sifuna, Mr Otieno and others! aluta continua!" he posted.

His message came only a few minutes after the High Court declared his deportation to Canada illegal null and void.

Justice Luka Kimaru directed that Miguna's Kenyan passport should be produced in court within the next seven days.
