High Court Judge George Odunga convicted the trio for contempt of court and directed them to appear before the court at 10am on Thursday, March 29, for sentencing.

Justice Odunga said the trio would still be sentenced should they fail to appear in court in person.

Odunga had directed the three to appear in court at 2:30 pm on Wednesday after they failed to present NASA activist Miguna Miguna who has been in detention at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) since Monday, March 26.

This followed a case filed by a team of lawyers representing Miguna, led by James Orengo, Otiende Amollo, Cliff Ombeta, Julie Soweto and Khaminwa.

"State officers cannot continue to act in contempt and going about their business without respecting courts orders," said Justice Odunga.
