Speaking during a conference summoned by the Parliamentary Committee on the deportation of Miguna Miguna alongside Immigration PS Gordon Kihalangwa and IG Joseph Boinnet, he said Miguna was not deported but was removed as an undocumented person.

Miguna Miguna's lawyer Nelson Havi has spoken about Dr. Matiang'i and his team's sentiments during the National Security meeting which was held at Continental House in Nairobi.

He accused the National Security leaders of speaking lies in front of the Parliamentary Committee saying they squandered Miguna's rights to defend themselves before Judge Odunga and threaten judges and lawyers who were involved in the case.

"CS Matiang’i and team squandered the right to defend themselves before Justice Odunga on violation of Miguna’s rights at JKIA. It cannot now lie in their mouths to appear before the Parliamentary Committee on Security, spew lies and issue threats to Lawyers and Judges," Lawyer Nelson Havi said.

Nelson Havi was among the advocates who represented Miguna Miguna in his fight against the state alongside Rarieda MP Hon. Otiende Amollo and Senate Minority leader James Orengo.

Miguna Miguna was forcefully deported to Dubai on the night of last week's Wednesday after alleged sedation. Miguna stayed in Dubai for a couple of days and is currently in Ontario, Canada undergoing medication.
