In a series of tweets on Friday, the National Resistance Movement (NRM) leader accused the former Prime Minister of dishonesty, claiming that his recent peace truce with President Uhuru Kenyatta is another political trick aimed at duping Kenyans, hence its failure to perform so far.

The two have announced that their unity will promote national unity and healing, with Miguna now questioning why his deportation to Canada remains standing while Odinga, on the other hand, is being hailed as a statesman after the truce, despite having taken a mock presidential coronation which was termed as treasonous by Uhuru's quarters.

''If I committed treason for swearing you in, why haven't you been arrested, detained and exiled like me? Why haven't I been taken to court? If your ''hand cheque'' with Uhuru Kenyatta seeks to "reconcile" Kenyans, why am I not in Kenya? Be honest with Kenyans,'' said Miguna.

He further questioned Odinga's new-found closeness to the Jubilee government which he had earlier alleged rigged him out in the concluded presidential race, bashing him over latest his actions that indicate that he has acknowledged Uhuru as the President after branding him illegitimate.

''When I commissioned your Oath of Office as The People's President at Uhuru Park on Jan. 30, 2018, did I do so as a Kenyan and a Commissioner of Oaths in Kenya? Why did you take the oath if you believed as you now claim that Uhuru Kenyatta was a "legitimate" president?'' wondered Miguna who also examined the Orange party leader's inability to facilitate his return to the country.

''On March 16, 2018 at Ahero and Kisumu towns, you told thousands of NRM supporters that I will be back home on March 26th, thanks to the ''handshake." What are you now telling them? Why haven't you condemned Kenyatta for violating my rights?'' he added in a separate tweet.
