Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko on Thursday had his longest day after NASA supporters chased him out of the polling station as votes were being counted.The rowdy youths stormed Mulu Mutisya Gardens polling station in Machakos county directing that Sonko leave the premises immediately.This compeled Sonko's motorcade leave the station in haste as the anti-election protesters chanted NASA slogans.Additionally th e demonstrators turned on IEBC officials and ordered them to stop tallying results from the repeat presidential election.However, anti-riot police officers arrived, preventing the protesters from attacking voters and IEBC officials.IEBC officials hurriedly stopped the vote counting exercise, closed the station and moved it to Machakos University, which is the constituency tallying center.Earlier in the day, two people were shot dead in protests in Mavoko.
