Nairobi governor Mike Sonko is on the receiving end over his performance as the Capital's manager since the August 8 election.
Sonko who beat Evans Kidero (ODM), Peter Kenneth (Independent) and Miguna Miguna (Independent) had pledged to fix Nairobi's problems a process which if effected would have Nairobians get the ease of life on key amenities.
Kenyans on Twitter on Monday expressed dissatisfaction with how the Nairobi County boss has handled garbage management, drainage systems, lighting, roads maintenance, sewerage system, security, healthcare, job opportunities and provision of basic amenities in the city.
Under the hashtag, Failed Governor Sonko, the debate wrecked storm as follows.
@erwoti said; "Sonko’s cabinet is filled with family members and relatives of Jubilee’s decision makers in Nairobi. KOT will soon bring this to the forefront."
"If we have a performance check in all governors in Kenya on their delivery on first 100 days as they promised during campaigns, I'm sure this #FailedGovernorSonko would be replicated. We have a few counties where it's more job & less words. Look at Makueni,Kitui,Kisumu," @KinyanBoy wrote.
A user; @Kipkirui_Kev pointed out; "Sonko is careless about our welfare as the people of Nairobi. He won’t be seeking re-election that’s why he’s nothing to lose. We will be biggest losers. The purported legacy will only be in papers not grassroots."
@TeddyMunene said; "These are the results of having Cambridge Analytica pen down your manifesto. Six months down the line Sonko has no idea of how to implement it."
@Lazooj cried out; "Dear Nairobians its time we all ask Sonko. What became of promises he made. He promised proper financial management, open procurement, service delivery and public safety. Nairobi is more insecure under #FailedGovernorSonko than it was under Kidero."
