The farmers on Sunday said that the road has never been repaired since construction and it has been deteriorating continually.

"Our main problem is poor road networks in this area. If they can tarmac the Elementaita-Mau Narok and Jogoo to Cheptangwanyi roads, they would have helped us a lot,” said Samuel Wanjau, a milk farmer.

They have now asked the area leaders to intervene and do what they were elected for

They are now worried that the roads' condition will deteriorate further once the March/April long rains start.

"If something will not have been done by the start of the long rains, most of our milk will go to waste. We have been relying on four-wheel drive vehicles to transport our milk as no other vehicle can make it here," Moses Gicheru, another farmer said.

"Milk is our main source of income and good roads are of much essence to us bearing in mind that milk is a perishable good and needs timely delivery," Susan Wairimu another farmer said.
