Controversial nominated senator Millicent Omanga has sparked yet again heated debate over remarks attributed to her while in South Mugirango.
On Sunday, Omanga claimed that men married outside Kisii are either impotent or useless, in the remarks allegedly targeting Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati.
During the event, Omanga dismissed Arati's decision to install himself as Gusii community spokesman, insisting that the move was misguided.
"I have heard that there is a man who claims to be he spokesman. He was obviously misguided by his Chinese wife," she said.
Omanga added: "If he was spokesman, he should have come here. Any man married outside Kisii is just impotent and useless."
So controversial have been the remarks such that a section of Nyamira and Kisii residents have demanded that she resigns from her post.
Already, two factions that shows struggle for power between Arati and Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Maiang'i have emerged.
