Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) chairman Ezekiel Mutua condemned the ODM lawmaker, saying she overstepped her privileges as a legislator.

Mutua criticised Odhiambo and faulted her for insulting president Uhuru Kenyatta, adding that it showed immorality towards the young generation, who will grow thinking it is moral to insult elders and grown ups.

This, Mutua said was likely to bring up an immoral society with leaders and citizens who do not adhere to peaceful coexistence.

"You can not insult the president on television and expect the society to applaud you. As an MP, it is immoral. It makes children grow thinking that it is right to disrespect your seniors. It is advisable for the MP to apologise to the president,'' said Mutua.

During a special parliamentary session convened Tuesday to amend the Election Laws 2015, Odhiambo called the president names, and accused him of defying the Constitution for selfish political gains.
