The Government is planning to put National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders under house arrest on Thursday October 26, 2017, an MP has claimed.

This will be day when the IEBC is expected to conduct fresh presidential election as ordered by the Supreme Court.

But Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo said the Jubilee administration is intending to use police to detain Opposition leaders in their homes on the Election Day.

"The plans are intended to thwart the NASA lawmakers' efforts to mobilize our supporters against participating in the repeat presidential election," Odhiambo said during an interview with The Standard.

The Opposition alliance candidate Raila Odinga and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka have pulled out of the race citing unfair playing ground.

They have urged their supporters to boycott the polls and stay at home on Thursday.

"We have not told people to demonstrate on the polling day. We have not said that at all. We have told people to stay away," Raila told BBC on Tuesday.
