Mbita Member of Parliament Millie Odhiambo has linked her political rivals to the incident that saw her house burnt down.

The house located in Urianda village was set ablaze by goons, Wednesday morning, day after her victory in the ODM primaries that were conducted in Homabay county.

She was emphatic most of her attackers are known and come from same village in Lambwe, her rival, Jim Akali’s home.

“Yesterday [Wednesday], they razed my humble abode to the ground. The home manager just managed to escape. They continue to threaten people. Most of these guys are known and come from one village in Lambwe,” Millie said on a Facebook post.

The lawmaker noted that despite the goons harassing her supporters, no action had been taken.

This, she said, forced her to take some of her key campaign team members out of Mbita.
