Mbita MP Millie Odhiambo says she bares no grudge with President Uhuru Kenyatta and that he is welcome to campaign in Homabay County.
The two had an altercation which show Kenyatta’s ally accuse Odhiambo of disrespecting the president a few months ago.
And speaking ahead of Uhuru’s tour scheduled Wednesday, Odhiambo urged locals to turn out in numbers and welcome Kenyatta.
“I have nothing against Uhuru and remember he is the president of Kenya. He is welcome to campaign in Nyanza and I wish him well.
“Even though I will not show up, I urge locals to turn up and give him a befitting welcome. We are eager to see what he brings us,” she added.
Considered an opposition stronghold, Uhuru s expected to launch several development projects key among them a bridge that connects Mbita Island with mainland.
His tour comes barely a week after his main rival Raila Odinga toured his Kiambu backyard where he attracted multitudes of people.
