Millie Odhiambo has, in a rare move, given support to NASA’s strong critic Sabina Chege. The Mbita MP and strong supporter of Raila Odinga condemned Kenyans on social media for celebrating over the loss of Murang'a Women Representative Sabina Chege’s misfortune after she lost her mother."I do not agree with her politically and she has been, understandably a bit more venomous politically the last few months but I think it is wrong to celebrate a misfortune," Millie said."I think it is wrong to celebrate a calamity. We have killed the heart of the nation, the humanity. This is the part that touches our conscience and shows us that it is abnormal to celebrate a tragedy. The walls of Kenya have fallen under the weight of many ills but especially ethnic hatred. It is blinding us to humanity. I do not need to agree with you politically but I should not lose humanity in the process," Millie added. The MP went on to tell Kenyans to have a self-search to learn how to sympathise with a person in pain."People let us search deep within and seek God's grace in getting back that part we lost that requires that we naturally empathize with a person facing a tragedy. If not we are just as evil as a murderer," Millie concluded.
