If you see Matiang'i tell him he can take NRM for free. No need to gazette irrelevant issues. The horse bolted from the stable already.
Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo has attacked Interior and Coordination Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang’i, after he declared NASA coalition's National Resistance Movement (NRM) an "organized criminal group."
Through Interior Ministry spokesman Mwenda Njoka, Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang’i, linked the movement to a criminal gang following the controversial swearing-in that saw Odinga declare himself People's President, on Tuesday.
“All along we assumed they were not serious about swearing in, and we’ve been very lenient,” Njoka said.
“We’ve seen that they want to almost form a militia, and the government has to take action and deal with them before the government gets into that kind of situation,” he added, but failed to explain why the government had not previously spoken about the allegations, saying “A number of reasons may not be shared with the media."
According to him, the name of the group was hostile and that political pressure over the months had pushed the government to look at it more closely.
In a quick rejoinder, Odhiambo said the could go ahead and take NRM for free.
"If you see Matiang'i tell him he can take NRM for free. No need to gazette irrelevant issues. The horse bolted from the stable already," she said.
