Mbita Member of Parliament Millie Odhiambo took to social media to hit out at President Uhuru Kenyatta hours after he visited her constituency.
Uhuru on Wednesday during his tour in Nyanza region launched a Sh1.5 billion bridge in Mbita constituency.
Millie has however alleged the bridge is not a Jubilee project since it had been started by previous governments.
The Mbita legislator noted the bridge had been commissioned by the former prime minister Raila Odinga before Jubilee took power.
She further attacked those who criticised her for not welcoming the president and his deputy William Ruto in her constituency.
“My general views are widely publicized. I am ODM and I am NASA. Part of your concern is the development brought in the form of a bridge and the promise of two ring roads to be tarmacked in 26 days. Did you see him leave with the bridge? “It’s in Mbita and has been there since its commissioning by former premier Raila Odinga., then Mbita parliamentarian the late Otieno Kajwang and the then roads minister, Bett,” said Millie.
She added: “Its also in the Hansard by non other than Chair of Budget Reverend Mutava Musyimi and I lobbied for the Parliamentary Committee to sit in Mbita and this bridge was identified by Mbita people as one of the priority projects for completion. The Parliamentary budget committee allocated what was needed to complete it even though it was not conformed to the original design.”
