When I was younger, reaching a policy maker was not easy. If I got an opportunity to reach one, which was rare, I would have a littany of real policy issues to raise with them. Now getting a policy maker is only a face book post or twitter away. Jothurwa- Sample how young people engage us inbox.

Young man: I love you. I dream about you. Can we meet? Can you be my girfiend - and suchaalikie things. The frequency has increased. Me: Get your ass off facebook and go do meaningful work that can support you.Young woman : I have seen you have taken a photo with Joho. You know him personally?

I swear am dying for this man. Can you connect us?Me: Wish I could but am not a dating agency.Young people, use your God given opportunity well. Please raise with us more important policy issues like how we can bring a law to enhance food security or how we can mentor youths or issues on education. You may not know it but I take anything raised with me seriously, just as serious.

Some women got in touch with me on being childless ( because am one, they thought i would be empathetic). Up until then I was not going to bring a law on Assisted Reproduction. I was touched by how women are very affected. My childlessness does not affect me that much. God gave me a special ability to love children who are not mine. So I brought the law courtesy of their intervention.

( I am however toying with the idea of having a child when am 53 or 55. Sara did it at 100 anyway). Fishermen raised with me issues they are facing and I translated them to legislative issues. I am still raising issues on the Blue Economy Policy to ensure it encapsulates inland waters.

Prof. Ntiba I hope you are listening.SDAs asked for the Sabbath and I was amongst the few who pushed for it's protection Constitutionally in BOMAS. I worked on acceptable language. I am currently working on a law to ensure better protection of faith issues. We worked with the late Dr. Adede on language for dual citizenship.

Martha Karua, Charity Ngilu, Sally Kosgei, Amina Abdalla, Sofia Noor and I ensured 47 women came in when male legislators ganged up to throw out the baby and birth water in Naivasha ( Affirmative Action).I have come up with several motions and laws as a consequence of people seeking interventions.Back to my issue. Young women and men such are the issues I want to hear. G

et it off your mind that having sexual liaison with leaders will make you wealthy. Work hard and be a leader in any field you chose instead. If I wanted to engage in illicit sex, i can assure you it will not be with some random youth writing to me on facebook. Dont ask who it will be with. I carry no property of yours.
