Outspoken Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo has faulted Governor Mike Sonko’s decision to nominate lawyer Miguna Miguna as his deputy.
In what shocked many, Sonko settled on exiled Miguna, a move which he insists that he is not ready to rescind.
“Miguna Miguna is my choice. I stand with the name and its now upon the assembly to decide. I am not ready to withdraw the name,” he said.
Since his nomination, Miguna Miguna, whose entry to Kenya has been denied by the state, has often evaded discussing the issue.
And at Citizen TV, Ms Odhiambo, a staunch supporter of Raila Odinga, accused Miguna of demeaning his fellow learned colleagues.
“I think Sonko’s choice of Miguna as his deputy was wrong. Miguna is a brilliant lawyer but he needs to learn that there are other brilliant minds out there, he is not the only one,” she said.
During a function at Nairobi, President Uhuru Kenyatta maintained that he respects all Kenyans including Mr. Miguna Miguna.
