Orange Democratic Party leader Raila Odinga has told off President Uhuru Kenyatta over the party's nomination criteria, telling him to mind his Jubilee affairs and Keep off ODM issues.
While addressing members of the Press at the ODM headquarters Orange House in Nairobi Friday, Raila told Kenyatta that he should stop sticking his nose where it does not belong and use his time putting the Jubilee Party, where he is the party leader in order.
''I wonder why President Kenyatta is so obsessed with ODM affairs when he himself has a whole party to run.He should stop supervising us and telling us how to do our primaries and mind his party which is facing even bigger nomination problems,'' said the former Prime Minister.
Raila also warned Kenyatta against lecturing him on how to lead his party in conducting nominations saying that the Jubilee side is the poorest side when it comes to the practice.
''He is trying to lecture me when his party never conducts transparent nominations, they only sit in a boardroom and decide on who will be what. They are now saying that Ruto will be the Presidential flag bearer for Jubilee in 2022, I wonder when the nomination for that was done,'' he said.
Raila on Monday April 3 gave certificates to a section of the party incumbents and aspirants who are considered to be facing no competition in their bid in an event that was held at the Bomas of Kenya with President Kenyatta attacking him for that, saying that the certificates were given in a hasty manner likely to lock other aspirants who are yet to announce their bid out.
Among the beneficiaries were Nairobi County boss Evans Kidero and Kisii Senator hopeful Sam Ongeri.
