County assembly of Nakuru minority leader, Dan Ambale, has called on Nakuru residents to elect leaders who are ready to serve.
Speaking in Kivumbini Ward on Sunday during a consultative meeting with residents, Ambale who was elected on an ODM ticket said a time has come for residents to think before electing leaders to avoid regrets.
“If you cannot vote for leaders who are not ready to serve then you are the people who will remain to regret for another 5 years,” he said.
Ambale urged residents living in ODM zones in Nakuru such as Lakeview, Kivumbini and Kaptembwa wards to ensure that they support the party fully.
The leader also announced his support for the Kivumbini Ward MCA aspirant, Neto Sakwa, who will be battling it out with the incumbent MCA Vitalis Okello(ODM), former councilors Risper Ouma and Rose Lai (ODM) and the TNA aspirant James Kihoria.
“I know that this ward (Kivumbini) has more than 5 aspirants but I expect all of them to look at past history and focus on supporting Sakwa this time round,” he said.
Kivumbini ward in Nakuru county has a history of being an ODM zone.
