While it is everyone's dream to move into the coveted Nairobi 'leafy suburbs', life there is not what it seems on paper.
It has emerged that most of the wives here lead a miserable life and even wish to exchange their lives with their watchmen or house helps.
The wives always lead lives away from their husbands who are ever away on business trips.
If the husbands are within, they are busy moving from hotel to another making money deals and cannot secure any time for family.
The women suffer from solitude, compounded by the fact that some do not even have neighbours.
They also lead lives full of stress and sadness. This is because their spouses never create time to think of how to make them happy.
Sometimes there is the threat of another woman following their men and there is little time to discuss this at home.
With money and power, their husbands move around town changing women, sometimes deliberately making the home wife know this.
But also with the big empires come the trouble of court battles from co-wives and sibling rivalry.
