Likoni MP Mishi Mboko has  has hit out at Jubilee administration accusing it of exercising tyranny rule.

The ODM lawmaker alleges that Jubilee is attempting to silence vocal opposition leaders allied to self-declared people’s president Raila Odinga.

Speaking to journalists in Likoni Town on Thursday, Mboko said that arrests that have been witnessed  recently is a clear indication that Jubilee wants to muzzle and undermine the rights of opposition politicians.

She said that police have no right to arrest and unlawfully detain people without presenting to a court of law.

“It is shameful that Jubilee wants to take this country back to the dark ages something we will not allow,” she said.

The vocal ODM lawmaker said that Jubilee is afraid and threatened by Raila Odinga last week oath.

She said that Jubilee thought Raila will coward and fail to take oath as the people’s president.

While condemning the deportation of Miguna Miguna to Canada on Tuesday night, Mboko said that Jubilee has shown to the world that it does not care about the rights of its citizens.

She said that Miguna’s deportation was unlawfully adding that as NASA they will not give up on push for electoral reforms and end to impunity.

Mboko asked NASA supporters and Kenyans not to be frightened and stand firm for rule of law.

He said that they will not be defeated in their reforms journey if they remain united.

Miguna was deported on Tuesday night as government continues purge on politicians who planned and administered Raila’s oath last week.

The Canadian based lawyer was deported aboard a KLM plane on Tuesday hours after being presented in a Kajiado law court to plead to charges relating to Raila’s swearing in.

Miguna had been in police cells since Friday last week when he was arrested at his Runda home.

Efforts to secure his release failed as the police ignored a court order that had granted him Sh5, 000 cash bail.

The lawyer’s deportation has elicited sharp condemnation and criticisms from Kenyans and opposition leaders.

Miguna has vowed to fight back, saying that his rights were violated during his dramatic arrest, detention and deportation.
